This project involved extensive refurbishment and extension works to an existing bungalow which included an attic conversion, single storey side extension for a 'granny annex' and a modern two storey rear extension incorporating a new open plan kitchen / dining / living room and master bedroom, complete with it's own private balcony. The works also included a complete overhaul of the thermal performance of the existing building.
The existing house and side extension retained a more traditional feel with new external render and slate roof replacing concrete tiles and a dated exterior.
The contemporary extension to the rear features both zinc and timber cladding and is linked to the existing house via the new kitchen featuring a double height space and gallery bridge above.
"At our first consultation Ally took the time to thoroughly understand our requirements and the first draft drawings captured exactly the design we were after. With his advice and experience we progressed easily through planning permission and tendering and now as he oversees our build we feel confident we will soon be moving into the house we dreamt of.”
