This project involves extensive refurbishment and extension works to an existing split level bungalow. The scope of works include first floor extensions - raising the ridge height by approx 2m - to provide first floor accommodation and single storey extensions to the side and rear.
The ground floor layout is reworked to provide a large open plan kitchen / dining / living area complete with a feature double height window overlooking the River Foyle whilst a single storey side extension provides a seperate sitting room with direct access to the patio.
A new staricase provides access to a gallery bridge which will overlook the main entrance and provide access to the master bedroom complete with it’s own private balcony. Secondary glazing will provide views from the bedroom through the double height window to the front and dining area below. Two further new bedrooms are accommodated in the first floor extension.
Through coloured render, stone and slate are used and along with the minimilist detailing to the eaves and verge of the roof bring a traditional feel to the dwelling whilst the shape of the new windows and dormers to roof are more contemporary.
